BIO
Scotty Kinka is a singer-songwriter whose music is rooted in the back roads, beaches, and Pine Barrens of South Jersey and the neighborhoods around Philadelphia. A founding member of the popular local band Split Decision, Kinka spent years performing throughout the region before stepping away from music to pursue family and a successful career in technology.
Today, he has returned to songwriting with a renewed sense of purpose, drawing on a lifetime of experiences to create songs that are honest, reflective, and deeply personal.
ā
Blending Americana, country rock, and piano-driven storytelling, Kinka's songs explore family, faith, gratitude, redemption, and the passage of time. Influenced by artists such as Needtobreathe, Chris Stapleton, Zac Brown Band, and Bruce Springsteen, his music combines heartfelt lyrics with soaring melodies and an Americana sensibility that feels both timeless and contemporary.
ā
From front-porch conversations to late-night reflections at the piano, Kinka's songs invite listeners to slow down, look back, and embrace the people and moments that matter most.

A Personal Note
A few years ago, I created a folder on my computer called No Regrets. It became a place to collect ideas, memories, lyrics, and moments that felt worth holding onto. Over time, those notes became songs.
ā
I consider myself a lucky man. I'm grateful for the life I've lived and the people I love. I'm not making this music now to chase a dream I had in my twenties.
I'm writing about living the dream that found me.
ā
Beginning with Jersey Pines, I'll be sharing these songs one at a time. If they remind you of a place you love, a person you miss, or a moment that changed you, then we've already found some common ground.
Thanks for being here. I hope you'll follow along.
